Calabar festival says no to HIV/AIDS,zero transmission, zero discrimination, zero HIV related deaths.A non profit, non religious, non governmental organisation cross river state network of people living with HIV and AIDS in nigeria (CRINEPWHAN) has brought together PLHIV together and has since sensitized the public against stigmatization.
There also put up an event called charity concert gala (candle light memorial)and this event started at about 9pm.This event was envisioned to ensure that cross river state becomes a state were PLHIV,ORPHANS and VULNERABLE children are given equal rights and privileges like every other member of the society.Last night guess guess where treated to a sensitization session of the cross river state enacted law against stigmatization and other vices.
I BELIEVE THERE IS HOPE FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS.WHAT DO YOU THINK?
The event also had interesting performances by different groups both theatrical and orchestral, yes orchestral i said.....because it was trilling to know that calabar festival seeks to encourage and support talent.
I particularly got interested at what a wonderful presentation from violinist, obase walterz and lil miss obomate dokubo both playing classical well to trill the crowd with (HEAL THE WORLD)and (YOU RISE ME UP) towards the support of the drive against stigmatization of people with HIV/AIDS.
